ONE AFRICA ONE VOICE
2021 Africa Shared Value Leadership Summit

The 2021 Africa Shared Value Leadership Summit is a platform for conversations and engagement, both virtual and in-person, that no business leader can miss this year. Use this opportunity and join us from 8-9 November – listen, learn, participate, get inspired and see how you can make 2022 an extra ordinary year.

Our world has changed forever and the need for business to change is almost non-negotiable. The Africa continent has the opportunity to build back a better future for all and ensure that we leave no one behind.

If we are to create a more equitable society, business across all industry sectors must come together with society and collectively interrogate how Africa can achieve the future we all want – particularly in this Decade of Action towards realisation of Agenda 2030 and achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.

OUR THEME

The theme for this year’s summit (8-9 November 2021) is One Africa One Voice. It reflects what is needed from government, business and society to make a success of the AfCFTA, as well as work together towards Africa’s economic recovery. The event will be hosted as both a virtual AND live event, with the latter in Johannesburg, South Africa.

FOCUS AREAS

Similarly, the focus areas for the 2021 Africa Shared Value Leadership Summit are also aligned to the UN Sustainable Development Goals and include:
– Economic Growth & the AfCFTA
– Survival of the African Entrepreneur
– Gender Equality and inclusion
– The SDGs and building back better

GLOBAL LINKAGE

This year, the Shared Value business management concept also celebrates 10 years since the now-famous Creating Shared Value article was first published in the Harvard Business Review. In line with this, one of the highlights for the 2021 Summit will be a live link-up to the start of the global Shared Value Leadership Summit in the USA, as part of the 10 year celebrations. The 2021 Summit will also close off with an insightful address by Prof. Mark Kramer, who will be sharing his views on the important part Shared Value has to play in the economic recovery of Africa.

BE THE CHANGE

We are all navigating towards the end of another challenging year. Together, we can now look ahead into 2022 and identify that which has been holding our business back and, if addressed by focusing on value creation, will create prosperity for all.
