African Entrepreneurship Forum | 19 August 2022

Online event

While Africa only contributes 4% to the global greenhouse gas emissions, it is one of the continents most severely affected by climate change. As the SVAI, we believe that African solutions to African challenges can make all the differences here, particularly through building ecosystems for collective impact – across borders and across sectors.

With this in mind, the next African Entrepreneurship Forum (19 August 2022)  will continue the discussion on Economic Growth & the Entrepreneur with a specific focus on taking action against climate change. The forum presents a unique opportunity for peer-to-peer learning, with those who have expertise in the areas of investment, technology and climate change weighing in and guiding the discourse.

Guest speakers will unpack the potential of technology to fast-track Africa’s economic growth and what is needed to strengthen the continent’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. The session will conclude with an entrepreneurs’ dialogue on the impact of climate change on communities in Africa, solutions and key learnings from those active in this space.

The panel will be hosted by Andrews Akoto-Addo, Investment Associate at Ghana Tech Lab. Participants include: Francescah Munyi from Kofar Kenya Ltd; Robert Chidzugwe from Athel Technology; Nesphory Mwalengu from Organic Ilemba; and  Forget Shareka from Chashi Foods.
